The 15th anniversary of Pakistani’s film industry comedian Rangeela will be celebrated on May 24
Jahanian: (Vulearnings.com, May 15, 2020) The 15th anniversary of Rangeela, a well-known comedian of the Pakistani film industry, will be celebrated on May 24. Saeed Khan alias Rangeela belonged to a Pakhtun family. He was born in 1937 in Nangarhar province of Afghanistan and Later, he migrated from Afghanistan to Peshawar and then to Lahore. Rangeela has been a prominent actor, voice actor, and film director in the Pakistani film industry. He has acted in more than six hundred and fifty films and left an indelible mark on comedy. ۔
Rangeela started her film career in 1958 with the film ‘Jatti’. She also sang in several films. Rangeela’s duet with Munawar Zarif was considered a sign of the success of the film. Also paired.
Rangeela’s most famous films include ‘Manjhi Kathe Dahawan’, ‘Hath Jodi’, ‘Jagri Yar’, ‘Sangdil’, ‘Pagri Sambhal Jata’, ‘Dosti’, ‘Taha’ and others. She has been awarded many honors including Nigar Award. Rangeela has got married three times and has 8 daughters and 6 sons. Rangeela passed away on May 24, 2005 at the age of 68.
