On the other hand, sources said that the federal cabinet has postponed the privatization of the steel mill. According to the decision of the ECC, 9350 employees of the steel mill were to be laid off, but the cabinet did not approve the decisions of the ECC. According to media reports, the federal cabinet has postponed the privatization of the steel mill. The federal cabinet did not ratify the ECC’s decisions.

The ECC had decided on June 3 to lay off steel mill employees under the Golden Handshake. According to the ECC decision, 9350 employees of the steel mill were to be laid off. But the federal cabinet decided not to approve the ECC’s decisions. Pakistan Steel has postponed the decision to dismiss or retain 9350 employees. A meeting of the Federal Cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

It reviewed the country’s political, economic, security, Corona epidemic situation, and budget preparations. Chairman Abandoned Waqf Property briefed the Cabinet on the reforms of the institution. The Federal Cabinet of the Establishment Division was briefed on the performance of the contract. Similarly, the Prime Minister directed strict action against the perpetrators of the petrol crisis.
