The Institute for Soil Science and Site Studies at the University of Hohenheim Germany is seeking a research assistant for the field of soil chemistry.
The German Research Foundation is funding the project “Extraction of Aluminium and Iron from Organic Association“, which includes this post. You will have the chance to create and implement a selective approach for removing aluminium and iron from organic relationships in soils as a research assistant.
The stipend for this three-year employment is based on TV-L E13 (65%) and includes the option to pursue a doctorate. Work on ground-breaking projects with our prestigious team, and contribute to publications in the field of soil chemical science.
About University of Hohenheim Germany Assistantship
At the University of Hohenheim, you have the chance to participate in the project “Extraction of Aluminium and Iron from Organic Association“. The development of an original, selective technique for collecting these metals from soil is the main goal of this research, which is supported by the German Research Foundation. A three-year initial commitment is made for the research assistant post, after which a PhD may be pursued.
Responsibilities and Tasks
As a research assistant, your primary goal will be to create and implement a selective approach for removing aluminium (Al) and iron (Fe) from organic relationships in soils. To do this, extractions on soil samples and synthetic model compounds must be carried out, and the metals liberated must be measured. You will also use spectroscopic techniques to describe the organic soil stuff in question. The collection of data will need statistical analysis, and you will have the chance to contribute to scholarly papers.
